About Trinity Services

Originally founded as a school in Joliet for children with intellectual disabilities in 1950, today Trinity Services, Inc. is a fully accredited, nonsectarian, nonprofit agency serving more than 3,500 children and adults with disabilities and mental illness in more than 30 Illinois communities in Will, Cook, DuPage, DeKalb, Grundy, Peoria, Jackson, Madison and St. Clair counties.

Trinity offers programs and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities and mental illness.  In addition to the school, services also include:

  • Residential services
  • Adult learning programs
  • Vocational and employment programs
  • Horticultural therapy
  • STRIDES, a therapeutic horseback riding program.

In addition, Trinity’s behavioral health program operates psycho-social rehabilitation programs for individuals who have a  dual diagnosis, residential services, individual or group counseling, and employment services. Trinity is also the Illinois affiliate for the National Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (NOFAS).
